Dermal Fillers

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are a type of cosmetic treatment used in the field of aesthetics. They are a gel like substance that are used to restore volume and smooth out wrinkles, folds, and lines on the face. These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps maintain skin hydration and elasticity.

By injecting dermal fillers into specific areas of the face, such as the cheeks, lips, or nasolabial folds, aesthetic practitioners can enhance facial features, restore lost volume, and achieve a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers can also be used to contour and shape the face, improving the symmetry and proportion of facial features.

These treatments are minimally invasive and typically requires little to no downtime. The results are immediate, and the effects can last anywhere from several months to over a year, depending on the type of filler used and individual factors.

Dermal Filler Treatments

Dermal fillers are amazing way to add volume to the skin and to balance out facial features, leading to a more youthful and harmonised face/ body.  Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in our bodies. This helps to hydrate the skin and add plumpness, leading to a more youthful look. Dermal fillers are a fantastic way to temporarily augment areas of your face or body without  surgery.

Dermal Fillers FAQs

Do dermal fillers hurt?

The sensation that you will feel when getting fillers will vary. Pain will be subjective for everyone and so some clients may feel a slight stinging and some may experience mild discomfort. Our fillers actually contain lidocaine, so this will help making you more comfortable. Don't worry, we will use a topical anaesthetic to minimize any pain.

After the treatment there may be some localised soreness. This may last for a few hours or a few days.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

We like to keep things simple, so the price is entirely dependant on how much filler is used. Our prices start at £100 for .5ml and is £180 per 1ml. If your treatment requires more than 1 ml, each ml over this is discounted by £20 per ml.

How long will my filler last?

Good question! It won't be the same answer for everyone though.

The length of time that fillers will last will depend on several things: The product that is used, your own metabolism and other lifestyle factors. Our practitioner can give you a rough estimate, but this will be a just that- an estimate.

How do I know how much filler I will need?

Before you start, our practitioner will walk you through the process and can make recommendations depending on the areas of concern and the look that you'd like.

What should I expect after getting fillers?

Again, everyone is different, but you may experience some swelling, possibly some bruising and mild soreness to the area of injection.
